MUSCAT : Indian School Bousher celebrated a momentous occasion with the grand Investiture Ceremony on 13th May 2024, marking a significant milestone for the newly appointed Student Council members. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Captain Harish Shrinivasan, Defence Advisor, Indian Embassy, Oman who honoured the ceremony as the Chief Guest.


The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to all dignitaries and attendees, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. Mr. Raja Jaya Balan, President of the School Management Committee (SMC), Indian School Bousher, along with Dr. Sayed Fazlur Rahman, SMC and Mr. Shanmugam Purushothaman, SMC, were among the notable dignitaries who attended the event, adding to the grandeur of the occasion. The Principal, Mr Prabakaran P, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty, parents, and staff.
The highlight of the ceremony was the investiture of the Student Council members. Captain Harish Shrinivasan ceremoniously invested them with badges, symbolizing their official roles and responsibilities.
In his address, Captain Harish Shrinivasan emphasized the importance of leadership and responsibility. He congratulated the Student Council members and encouraged them to lead by example, uphold the values of the school, and work diligently for the betterment of the student community. His inspiring words left a lasting impression on the young leaders, instilling a sense of duty and pride.
The Principal of Indian School Bousher led the solemn oath-taking ceremony. The Student Council members stood tall and proud as they recited the oath, pledging to execute their duties with integrity, commitment, and excellence.
Adding to the ceremony’s grandeur, the school choir performed a motivational song “Rise and Lead: Inspiring the Flame Within”, inspiring the audience and reinforcing the event’s uplifting spirit. The theme “Leading the Rhythm of Change” was brought to life through a vibrant and dynamic dance performance by the students, showcasing their talent and creativity.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Vice Principal, Ms Ambika Padmanabhan, followed by the School Anthem. The grand Investiture Ceremony at Indian School Bousher was a resounding success, setting a high standard for student leadership and involvement in school affairs.
The newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl, along with other council members, were congratulated by the dignitaries, faculty, and fellow students. Their commitment to their new roles was evident as they accepted their badges and sashes with pride and determination.
This remarkable event will be remembered as a significant chapter in the school’s history, inspiring future generations to aspire to leadership and excellence.
