Oman weather: NCEM issues alert for expected weather conditions on Monday

The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) has issued ‘Alert 2’ for the expected weather conditions tomorrow, Monday, April 15, across several governorates in Oman.

Muscat – Affected governorates include North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, parts of North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Musandam, and Al Wusta.

Potential impacts of the weather conditions include heavy thunderstorms accompanied by active winds and hail. Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 30 to 120 millimeters, with wind speeds reaching 15 to 45 knots (28-83 km/h). Additionally, sea wave heights may reach 2-3 meters.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather alerts from local authorities.
