Oman weather: Heavy rain, hail, strong winds forecast for next week

MUSCAT: Expect unstable weather conditions next week as Oman will be impacted by a low pressure system, National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center, has announced on Friday.

The Sultanate could face heavy rainfall, winds and hail starting from Sunday, April 14 to Wedneaday April 17.

In a statement issued Oman Met said: “The Sultanate of Oman will be under the effect of low pressure system starting from Sunday 14th of April 2024 till Wednesday 17 of April 2024. There will be chances of thunderstorms and heavy rain associated with active downdraft winds and hail which may cause flash flood over Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahira, Muscat, Al Dakhylia, North Al Sharqiya, South Al Sharqiya, parts of Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.”
