44 expats held for violating Oman’s labour and residency laws

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced the arrest of 44 Asian expatriates for violating Labour Law and Foreigners’ Residence Law.

MUSCAT : As per a statement from the ROP, the Buraimi Governorate Police Command, in collaboration with the Mahdha Special Tasks Police Unit, apprehended the 44 individuals on charges of violating the laws governing foreign labour and residence within the Sultanate of Oman.

The ROP also added that legal procedures against the arrested expats have been completed.
