MUSCAT : Titled ‘Respecting & Upholding the Rights of People with Autism: National Human Rights Institutions (NHRI) Perspectives’, the webinar aims to raise awareness about autism and highlight the importance of upholding the rights of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
The United Nations General Assembly designated April 2 as World Autism Awareness Day in 2007, to affirm and promote the full realization of all human rights and fundamental freedoms for autistic people on an equal basis with others. The General Assembly resolution from 2007 emphasizes the importance of raising public awareness of autism.
