MUSCAT : Scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, and last until 10:00 PM, the upcoming weather pattern is expected to impact parts of Al Dakhiliya, South Al Batinah, North Al Sharqiya, and South Al Sharqiya. As authorities issue safety advisories, residents are urged to take precautionary measures to safeguard themselves and their communities.

Authorities have issued a weather alert for thundershowers, forecasting rainfall ranging from 20 to 55 millimetres accompanied by downdrafts and poor horizontal visibility. The risk of flash floods in wadis (dry riverbeds) is also a concern, especially in low-lying areas.

Residents are advised to immediately move away from low-lying areas and wadis and refrain from swimming or attempting to cross flooded areas. Parents are urged to keep a close watch on children and ensure they stay clear of wadis to prevent accidents.
