Muscat: Oman’s first national football team is set to clash with the Malaysian national team tomorrow at ten o’clock in the evening. The match, scheduled at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, marks a crucial encounter in the ongoing joint qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Nations Finals.
The upcoming match holds significant importance for Oman’s team as they aim to bounce back from a recent setback. In the previous round, Oman faced a loss against Kyrgyzstan, leaving them with six points in the fourth group standings. Malaysia, on the other hand, has been riding a wave of success, leading the group after securing victories against Kyrgyzstan and China Taipei in the previous rounds held last November.
