For 8th year in a row, ‘unknown’ philanthropist helps release 51 prisoners in Oman

The man who did not want his name to be made public made the contributions for the eighth time in a row to release the prisoners.

MUSCAT: A philanthropist who refused to reveal his identity has come forward and paid the debts of prisoners in Al Dhahira Governorate, paving the way for their release of 51 prisoners for the eighth time in a row.

According to sources, the man who did not want his name to be made public made the contribution for the eighth year in a row. The donation was done through Fak Kurba, a voluntary organisation formed by the lawyers in the country to help people.

Fak Kurba said in a statement : “A philanthropist, who refuses to reveal his name, took care of the release of 51 detainees in the Al Dhahirah Governorate.”

Last year, the same philanthropist helped in releasing 38 prisoners in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
