MUSCAT : The Indian Social Club (ISC) Deccani Wing, representing the large Hyderabadi community in Oman, is preparing to host the largest community on March 22 at the Clock Tower in Ruwi.
According to the organisers, the preparations are on to cater to 4,000 people, including 700 ladies, with separate arrangements for women as well as families.
The local Hyderabadi community has been organising its annual iftar at the iconic Clock Tower for nearly two decades, with the Deccani Wing taking the lead since its formation a few years ago. Following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the iftar event was discontinued but returned after it was hosted last year.

“For the past two decades and more the Hyderabadi community in Oman has been organising a community Iftar at clock to foster brotherhood amongst various communities residing in Oman,” said Suhail Khan, Head of Organising Committee for the iftar event.
Over 100 volunteers will serve the attendees and ensure that the event goes as per plans and the guests feel at home and comfortable.
