Muscat – The project underscores the Municipality’s efforts to build sustainable and vibrant communities, by incorporating recreational and sports facilities in coordination with varied aesthetic elements.
The Green Walk is designed to blend in with the environmental surroundings and the urban style filled with residential neighborhoods and urban facilities. The project will feature a 3.2-km-long walkway as well as a cycling track, green spaces and seating areas, sites for mobile cafes, multi-use sports fields, a skateboarding area, children’s playgrounds, physical sports equipment and car park, among others.
The Green Walk project constitutes an enriching addition to community service projects and vegetation cover, and an outlet that enhances health and physical activities. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Occidental Oman as part of its corporate social responsibility program.
