MUSCAT : Presided over by His Excellency Sayyid Muhammad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council, and attended by His Excellency Nasr bin Khamis Al Sawai, Public Prosecutor, 20 newly appointed Second Public Prosecutors, dubbed the “Batch of Valor,” took the legal oath today.
The legal oath-taking ceremony, a procedural requirement outlined in Article 11 of the Public Prosecution Law issued by Royal Decree No. 92/99, signifies the official induction of these prosecutors into the public prosecution service.

These Second Public Prosecutors underwent rigorous training as part of the Postgraduate Diploma Program in Judicial Sciences at the Higher Judicial Institute. Over two academic years, they immersed themselves in theoretical courses in legal sciences and practical training in geographical and specialized public prosecution departments.

In his address, His Excellency, the Supreme Judicial Council Vice President, emphasized the importance of dedication, competence, and adherence to judicial instructions among judiciary members. He urged them to enhance their awareness through continuous learning and training, incorporating modern technology to streamline their work processes. Furthermore, he underscored the sanctity of the Public Prosecution’s mission, emphasizing the values of independence, integrity, and confidence-inspiring competence that its members must embody.
