MUSCAT : The event, organized by the Royal Court Affairs and represented by the Sultanate Haganah, promises a captivating finale at the Al Fulaij Racecourse in the Wilayat of Barka.

As the festival reaches its pinnacle, anticipation mounts for the thrilling culmination featuring six rounds of exhilarating camel races. The first half of the day’s program will focus on honing the skills of the hajj over a challenging 4-kilometre distance. Subsequently, attention will turn to the laqaya, with competitors vying for supremacy across a 5-kilometer course. The third leg of the races will test the endurance of camels over a demanding 6-kilometre stretch.

Continuing the excitement, the fourth round will showcase the prowess of two-year-old camels as they navigate an 8-kilometre route. In contrast, the fifth round will spotlight the agility of yearlings covering the same distance. The coveted His Majesty the Sultan’s Camel Cup awaits the victor of the first-place finish.
