MUSCAT : Following are the recommendations from the CDAA during heavy rains and flashfloods:
- Do not venture crossing flooded wadis
- Stay away from valley streams and low areas
- Avoid getting close to the edges of the wadis and heights
- Watch your children and do not allow them to get near any water body
- Switch off any unnecessary electrical appliances
- Stay away from streetlight poles and mind any hanging wires
- Follow the weather forecasts from official sources
- Avoid leaving the house if you are suffering from any respiratory disease (like asthma).
