Oman Meteorology releases weather report for 3 days

Oman Meteorology has released a summary of the expected weather conditions from Tuesday, March 5 to Thursday, March 7.

MUSCAT : As per the report, there will be continued flow and formation of thunderclouds, rainfall of varying intensity (20 – 50 mm), hail, and chances of wadi flow over the governorates of Al Dhahirah, South Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, and Al Wusta on the evening of Tuesday, March 5.

Active downward winds of 15-35 knots may lead to the rise of dust and debris; and sea waves may range from 2 to 3.5 meters on most of the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman.

On Wednesday, March 6: Partly cloudy skies with chances of low clouds forming on parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman, and thunderclouds flowing and forming at times, along with rain of varying intensity falling on parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman, the Hajar Mountains and the Central Governorate.
.Active downward winds (15-35 knots) may lead to the rise of dust and sea waves may range from 1.5 – 2.0 meters on parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the coasts of the Arabian Sea.

On Thursday, March 7: Partly cloudy skies with chances of low clouds forming on parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman; flow and formation of thunderclouds; and scattered rain on parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman, the Hajar Mountains and the Central Governorate.

Light to moderate southeasterly winds will blow over most of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, and they will be active at times on the coasts and deserts of the Dhofar Governorate.

Calm/average sea waves of 1.25-1.5 meters on parts of the coasts of the Sea of Oman and the coasts of the Arabian Sea.
