Muscat: Oman’s budget airline SalamAir will start direct flight operations to Bahrain starting from November 14, according to its CEO Captain Mohamed Ahmed.
“Three weekly flights to Bahrain will start on November 14 as part of our plans to cover the entire GCC countries,” he said.
The airline also has plans to increase flight frequencies to Dubai and Riyadh. “We have increased flights to Doha and Abu Dhabi as well,” Captain Mohamed noted.

Launched in 2016 as the country’s first low-cost carrier, SalamAir currently operates to 20 destinations including Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Shiraz, Kathmandu, Khartoum, Dhaka, Alexandria, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Abu Dhabi, in addition to the recently launched destinations Tehran, Istanbul, and Trabzon.
“We intend to increase our destinations to 29 by year end,” he added.
