MUSCAT: In a show of solidarity, the Kerala Media Academy announced that it shortlisted its ‘Person of the Year’ award noted Palestinian correspondent Wael Al-Dahdouh in recognition of his exceptional journalistic courage.
Al Dahdouh who works with Al Jazeera has been the face of the network since the war began in October last year.
Al Dahdouh’s wife Amna, son Mahmoud, daughter Sham and grandson Adam were killed in October after an Israeli air raid hit at the Nuseirat refugee camp where they were sheltered.

The Kerala Media Academy is a higher education media institute run by the government of the southern Indian state of Kerala.
