Muscat – In an announcement issued online, the SPF stated that the registration is currently available for families who have a social security card.
According to the SPF website, the program provides monthly financial support to families with lower incomes and fewer opportunities to earn. The entitlement depends on the family’s income level and the ability of its members to earn. The target benefit value is linked to the number of family members and the family’s gross income. The benefit aims to improve the living conditions of these families
The value of the subsidy is determined by calculating the difference between the target level (the square root of the number of family members × RO115) and the total family income.
The family includes the husband, wife, and non-working children up to the age of 26, and non-working daughters who have not reached the age of 40 if they are unmarried or divorced and do not have children. Foster children are considered as sons in determining the family. The family includes some categories that will be detailed in the executive regulations of the Social Protection Law.
