MUSCAT : The Gibran Trio, comprising the talented brothers Samir, Wissam, and Adnan, hailing from the historic city of Nazareth, is not just a musical ensemble but a profound voice for Palestinian identity. Their father, a master in oud craftsmanship, passed down his love for art, setting the stage for a musical journey that has captured the world’s attention.

Despite their extended sojourn in Paris, the trio has fervently carried their message to global audiences, harmonizing the melodies of Eastern heritage with the rhythms of contemporary music. Their unique approach involves a fusion of musical composition, oud mastery, and the recitation of poems by the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.

The trio’s odyssey began in the mid-nineties when Samir gained international acclaim for his solo performances, eventually composing soundtracks for renowned directors like Rachid Al-Mashharawi and François Duperron.

Simultaneously, Wissam honed his instrument-making skills at the Antonio Stradivari Conservatory in Italy, ensuring the ensemble’s instruments were as impeccable as their melodies.

Adnan, an accomplished musician, contributed to the Gibran Trio’s success and showcased Palestinian creativity with the Fatome Lamoureux Band, winning hearts in both Arab and Western spheres.

They are set to perform on February 2 and 3 at the Royal Opera House Muscat. A portion of the concert proceeds will stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, supporting charitable initiatives through collaboration with the Omani Charitable Activities Authority.
