MUSCAT: Omani citizens travelling through Muscat International Airport will have to active the PKI service in their phone in order to vote for the upcoming Majlis Al Shura elections.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Interior urged voters to activate the electronic certification system in their mobile phones at the departure hall of Muscat airport. “For those citizens travelling outside Oman before the elections can activate the PKI system so that they will be able to vote from abroad during their stay there through mobile,” said the statement.
The online voting date for people staying abroad will be on October 19 from 8am to 8pm, while the voting day for those inside the Sultanate will be on October 27.
