A perfect spot for hikers and adventure enthusiasts, Nabil bin Salam bin Khalfan Al-Saqri, an Omani cave exploration team member, pointed out that the state of Jabal Al Akhdar is one of the Omani states with diverse tourism components that are witnessing an increasing demand by tourists from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
Established in 2016 and the first of its kind, the Omani Cave Exploration Team has been working hard to find unique spots across Oman to highlight the diversity and beauty of the Sultanate’s topography. With in-depth documentation of all the caves and the many ways they can be explored, the “Guide to the Caves of Oman”, a book published by this team, is the perfect handbook for all you explorers out there.
Oman has been a hub for tourists in recent years, with a complex ecosystem and natural hotspots unlike anything you have seen before; the caves of Oman serve as rich sources of history and scientific prospects to understand the many mysteries of nature.
