Muscat – The Municipality urges everyone to exercise caution when disposing their garbage during camps or picnics outdoors, as such actions will be deemed as violations subject to a penalty of OMR 100.
With the National Day holidays coinciding with the weekend, and the winter weather inviting outdoor trips, litterbugs are warned in time to avoid penalties by refraining from disposing off their waste in places other than those designated for it.
As per the Administrative Resolution No. 55/2017, a fine of OMR 100 will be imposed on offenders; and, in the event of repetition, the fine shall be doubled.
