Hail Al Ashkharyin is a quaint village in the wilayat of Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate; it is located about two and a half hours away from the bustling city of Muscat. It is a hidden gem that offers a memorable experience .

The villagers here cultivate a diverse array of crops, including the renowned Omani date palms. The fields are also resplendent with seasonal crops such as wheat, barley, onions, and garlic, as well as mango and lemon trees.

One distinguishing feature of this village is the thriving henna plants that grace the land; significantly, the dedicated farmers of the village have succeeded in cultivating ‘fifa’ trees and bananas, adding a touch of exotic charm to the agricultural tapestry.

Residents of Hail Al Ashkharyin have held on to their roots and preserved their authentic Omani customs that have been passed down through the generations. These customs trace their origins to eras long gone and carry the rich tapestry of cultural heritage.

One such tradition is the ‘Sablah’, where people of the village gather for events and social affair; the Sablah is where stories are exchanged, bonds are strengthened, and the essence of Omani community life thrives.

Visiting Hail Al Ashkhareen is like stepping back in time, where the beauty of the natural world merges seamlessly with a culture deeply rooted in history.
