From playing a stereotypical chocolate boy to a real rugged man. It is indeed the most progressive evolution that the Malayalam film industry has witnessed. It appeared more like his features helped him with his evolution. His lovely charm evolved into a fierce, charismatic man with age.

The 5th of October will see the premiere of Chaaver, which is currently trending on social media. Chaaver’s precise translation is “Suicide Squade,” political confrontation- action packed drama. The trailer has already piqued the interest of thrill seekers. Could it be said that Kunchako Boban’s role in the movie is one of the factors that has made it the most anticipated movie among spectators of all ages? 

He recently stated that he is “hungry and excited to do challenging roles” in a candid conversation.

Success goes much beyond being born into an affluent background. Success is when they forge their own identity, especially when it is very challenging when you have to break the stigma of playing a boring typical role in the long run.  It’s difficult to detach from that skin, especially because it gave him his initial sense of identity.

He started off with a smile that used to send chills down the emotions of the love freaks and now that same smile is giving an adrenaline rush into the thuggee personas amongst the thrill lovers.

How Kunchacko Boban became the darling of the masses

Kunchako Boban or  Chakochan as he is fondly known as, made his acting debut in 1997’s Aniyathipravu opposite Shalini which catapulted him to an overnight sensation.

Ever since then he has given the major romantic goals of  the late 90’s and early 20’s era with notable romantic hits like Mazhavil, Chandammama, Niram, Priyam, Sathyam Shivam Sundaram and several others.

That was initially a millennial market trend, but as time went on, the cinematic market began to demand something more realistic. Rather than focusing on a specific genre, they gradually assigned more importance to real-life incidents and socially conscious approaches, and they began casting actors who fit the part.  Marking that as a black and white period for the classic romantic and action heroes. The earliest attempts at comedic dramas like Three Kings and Romans with a hint of romance did not succeed, and that is when Chakochan’s genuine challenges emerged.

Versatile actor  

He began trying his luck in versatility, and this is evident in films like Senior, which worked out very well for him in a villain role. He was also able to land the villain role in Spanish Masala, but even in those films, he was still portrayed as everyone’s companion, which made him appear a little monotonous once more.

Similar to how Rome was not built in a day, he ghosted and then returned stronger with the intention of producing more versatile work, such as God for Sale, Traffic, Anjam Pathira, Pada, etc. However, he never seemed to be satisfied with how the results turned out, so instead of quitting, he took it up as a challenge to stop not until the goal is reached, which unquestionably demonstrates his sheer dedication for the field that gave him an identity beyond the facade. But by the time he realised it, he had already accomplished the goal he had set for himself, but by then it was too late to stop as he had uncovered the essence of success for playing conceptual roles and winning the title of best actor for Nnna Thaan Case Kodu  felicitated by the Kerala State Award jury.

Since then, there has been no turning back; he returned to the top of the charts and launched the next wave of stardom with 2018 and now most anticipated film Chaaver.

The movie voyage of Kunchacko Boban will serve as the ideal inspiration for that notion for all sprouting filmmakers on the run looking for an unusual story that might surpass the traditional movie curve. Due to his early success at the box office and subsequent cornering with a unilateral concept, the actor emerged from this situation stronger and fearless, giving a wide variety of fresh conceptions a shot.

Kunchacko Boban will now be known as the actor who is unbeatable!
