Muscat – The group, managed exclusively by ladies, organised a host of cultural programs like Thiruvathira, skit, group and solo songs, fusion performances and traditional Oppana, as part of its Onam celebrations.
Talented mums in the group presented various artistic performances during the five-hour festival celebration. The dance performances, in particular, were a treat to the eyes. The program also included games for newcomers who joined the group recently.
While lucky participants won attractive gifts through draws, every member of the group was awarded a special return gift to keep up the momentum.
The program ended with a grand Onasadhya, the festive lunch.
The event was organised by Mona Mohiyadheen, Convener of the MMME Oman group. Sindhu Soman, Advisory Member, and Smitha Nair, Treasurer.
It is noteworthy that the group was started with the intention of bringing out hidden talents of mothers who are living away from their homeland, confined to the four walls of their houses.
The group is open for all married Malayali women, who can join the Facebook group by searching MMME OMAN, and Instagram handle by searching mmme_oman.
