Two expats arrested for theft from stores in Saham, Muscat

Two people were arrested on charges of stealing from five commercial stores in the Wilayat of Saham and three different locations in the Muscat Governorate.

MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Thursday arrested two expatriates on charges of theft from several areas in Oman including Muscat Governorate.

In a statement issued by ROP said the arrest was made in “cooperation with the Muscat Governorate Police Command the North Al Batinah Governorate Police command.” The two suspects are “Arab nationals,” ROP added.

According to the ROP, the two suspects who are “Arab nationals” were charged for theft from five commercial stores in the Wilayat of Saham and from three different locations in Muscat Governorate.

“Legal procedures have been taken against them,” ROP stated.

The allegations arise from thefts from three different places in the Muscat Governorate and five retail establishments in the Wilayat of Saham. The legal process was successfully finished against them.
