MUSCAT : With the aim of raising awareness and completing coordination with various sectors, and identifying the most prominent challenges and ways to address them, the TRA organized a workshop for sectors ranging from banking and public services, to oil and gas, which are expected to be affected by the suspension. The workshop reviewed international experiences, statistics on the numbers and types of third-generation devices, and the stages that the project will go through.
The suspension of 3G services aims to enhance investments in modern and advanced technologies, improve network efficiency, keep pace with the acceleration and technological development, and improve beneficiaries’ experience of 4G and 5G networks.
