MUSCAT : The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology stressed on the necessity of full readiness and adherence to security and safety requirements during the transportation of students. The Ministry called for the registration of buses on the “Naql platform”, and advised adherence to the approved technical specifications for school transport.
The Ministry confirmed that it will carry out inspection campaigns on school transport buses periodically and continuously throughout the academic year, in order to ensure the safety of students.
Teachers return to school on Sunday, August 27, and the academic year for government school students begins on Tuesday, August 29.
