Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower has warned expats looking to apply for work in Oman, against bogus job applications posted online.
Revealing that not all job offers posted on social media are legitimate, MoM asked applicants to do a thorough check before applying to offers listed on social media platforms. This comes after few job advertisements for expats published through several social media platforms went viral abroad.
“We would like to emphasise the existence of accurate legislation and procedures governing the employment of expats, with the importance of verifying the validity of these ads,” the statement from MoM said.

According to MoM, to secure a foreign job offer applicants should equip themselves with the laws of Oman. “They need to ensure that these companies meet the Omanisation rates, and whether these vacant opportunities are Omanised,” MoM added.
