MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of Oman Air has adopted a comprehensive plan to restructure the national airline, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said on Monday.
Addressing the media, His Excellency Saeed bin Hamoud Al Maawali, who is also the Chairman of Board of Directors of Oman Air said a specialised study has been conducted due to the continuous operational losses and the accumulation of financial debts on the company.
Oman Air also appointed Captain Nasser Al Salmi, as the Acting CEO. Al Salmi has over 30 years of experience in aviation industry.
