Muscat – The General Directorate of CPA in North Al Batinah Governorate obtained a court ruling from the Sohar Primary Court, convicting a labour recruitment office for non compliance of service.
As per the details of the case, the complainant contracted the recruitment office’s services for an amount of OMR 1300, with an advance payment of OMR 500. However, the office retracted from the contract to hire a worker and returned OMR 200, refusing to return the remaining OMR 300.
The office was, basically, operating without a license, and a complaint was lodged at the CPA, which referred the case to the Public Prosecution.
