Muscat – The FSQC issued an alert to inform public that the Gulf Rapid Alert System for Food had indicated the presence of insect infestations in frozen okra product (400 grams) from the Sanabel brand with batch number BK3006NA and expiration date 5/2024.
“In the interest of the health and safety of the consumer, the Center would like to confirm that it has taken all necessary measures to stop the import of the product at the border crossings, and is currently working to ensure that the local markets are free of affected products, if any, in coordination with the concerned authorities,” stated the alert.
The Center also cautions public to avoid consuming the product and to dispose any purchased earlier.
