Oman’s Duqm Refinery exports first product shipments: 3 million barrels of crude oil

This export is part of the trial operation of the new refinery, as well as the beginning of Oman's exports of diesel, jet fuel, and LNG to regional and global markets.

MUSCAT : The new Duqm Refinery just made its first export, 3 million barrels of Omani and Kuwaiti crude oil to Ras Markaz, as part of the trial operation of the new refinery. This export also marks the beginning of Oman’s exports of diesel, jet fuel, and LNG to regional and global markets.

The trial run includes testing the readiness of the refinery, which includes main processing units for the refinery, facilities and services supporting operations, in addition to facilities for storage and export of petroleum and liquid materials in the port of Duqm and crude oil storage facilities for the refinery in Markaz.

The construction of the Duqm Refinery is progressing at an impressive rate, at 98%.
