MUSCAT : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the start of the process of unloading oil from the Safer Al-Rassi floating reservoir off the coast of Yemen, in order to prevent an environmental disaster in the coasts, Yemeni territorial waters, and the Red Sea. The Ministry also praised the UN’s efforts and the cooperation of the Yemeni parties and the international community in transferring more than one million barrels of oil to the new reservoir, and hopes that this will help achieve a favorable solution to the conflict in Yemen.
