Muscat: The disclosure from Barka Water & Power Company stated that it had informed the Capital Market Authority, the Muscat Stock Exchange and its investor community, that the Company’s business was affected by the green tide phenomenon, which resulted in the complete cessation of two seawater desalination plants on July 23.
“On July 25, the phenomenon of green tide began to decrease, which allowed the company to start operating the two desalination plants gradually, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
“This interruption in production did not result in any material financial impact on the company,” it stated.
