MUSCAT : Oman Meteorology stated that the record maximum temperature in the history of Fahud Station was 50.7 degrees Celsius on June 6, 1990.
It also noted that the desert regions witnessed a noticeable rise in maximum temperatures, yesterday – ranging between the mid-40s and early 50s – with the highest of 50.5 degrees Celsius in Fahud.
