He highlighted clean energy, hydrogen, advanced technology, artificial intelligence and the digital economy as priorities for the strategic partnership.
Oman also sought broader cooperation in banking, financial markets, asset management and investment financing to facilitate capital flows and help institutions pursue opportunities, he said.
His Majesty expressed hope that cooperation between the Oman Investment Authority and the Bank of China, together with Oman’s participation in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, would help advance those objectives.
He said Oman’s location, ports, economic zones and free zones offered opportunities to deepen industrial, logistics and supply-chain cooperation.
The Sultanate sought to expand joint investment in manufacturing, renewable energy and modern technology, linking productive capacity with research, knowledge and innovation centres while opening access to wider markets.
His Majesty praised the work of the Oman-China Joint Committee but called for faster implementation, easier investment procedures and greater private-sector participation.
He also stressed the importance of diversifying trade and widening access for Omani products to Chinese markets, alongside stronger cooperation in food security, fisheries and digital trade.
Global economic changes required more flexible and resilient partnerships, His Majesty said, expressing hope for further high-quality investment, joint industrial and technology projects, and deeper financial and institutional ties.
He said the next phase should also bring closer cooperation between private-sector institutions in the two countries.
On international affairs, His Majesty reaffirmed Oman’s support for dialogue and understanding and welcomed exchanges on issues of shared concern to help develop coordinated positions serving global peace and stability.
He expressed hope that the meeting would produce practical steps to strengthen economic relations and open further opportunities for integration and partnership.
The remarks came during a visit in which His Majesty and Chinese President Xi Jinping held official talks and witnessed the signing of a currency swap agreement and 14 memoranda of understanding and cooperation protocols.
