MUSCAT : Al Mouj Muscat, Oman’s premier lifestyle and waterfront destination, joined forces with the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) this month to mobilise support for breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Through the Pinktober Market at Al Mouj Walk and the Al Mouj Golf Pink Walk, the partnership brought the community together to support the Association’s work across Oman.
Held from 15 to 17 October, the Pinktober Market brought three evenings of local vendors and community activities to Al Mouj Walk. On 17 October, Al Mouj Golf hosted a 5 km Pink Walk around the course, giving participants an active way to support the cause. Organised in collaboration with OCA, the initiatives directed all vendor registration fees and voluntary donations collected onsite to the Association, helping fund prevention and early detection outreach programmes, patient support and palliative care.

Ahmed Al Massan, Acting CEO of Al Mouj Muscat, said: “The power of community is measured by what we can achieve together. When people unite behind a cause that affects so many lives, awareness can become action and individual contributions can make a lasting difference. At Al Mouj Muscat, we believe destinations have a role to play in making that possible, using the connections they create every day to mobilise support where it matters most.”

Partnerships like this extend our reach beyond traditional healthcare settings and turn public awareness into practical support.”
By bringing causes of national importance into its retail, leisure and outdoor spaces, Al Mouj Muscat demonstrated how destinations can contribute to addressing wider societal needs. The partnership with OCA built on its approach to community engagement, connecting everyday activities with opportunities to make a positive impact in people’s lives.
