MUSCAT – In a public notice, the embassy said OCI cardholders are required to update their passport details on their OCI records each time a new passport is issued.
The clarification follows queries from applicants seeking to confirm whether they can travel before their passport updation applications receive final acknowledgement in the online system.
The embassy stated that there would be no travel restrictions during the period between the issuance of a new passport and the final online acknowledgement of the updated documents.
