JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia ended a 22-year wait to reclaim the Arabian Gulf Cup with a 2–0 victory over the United Arab Emirates in the final on Tuesday, claiming their fourth title.
Hamdan Al-Hammami opened the scoring in the 11th minute at Alinma Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City before Firas Al-Buraikan added a second two minutes later.
The early double proved decisive as the hosts secured their first Gulf Cup crown since 2004, denying the UAE a third title.
