Muscat: Oil prices extended gains on Tuesday as markets remained focused on supply risks linked to the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
Brent crude futures rose 63 cents, or 0.6 per cent, to $105.91 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained 72 cents, or 0.8 per cent, to $93.32 a barrel.
The rise came despite signs that crude exports from the Middle East are recovering, with producers increasing shipments and using alternative routes to maintain supplies. However, concerns over the security of key regional energy routes continue to keep markets on edge.
