NEW YORK: Oman was represented by Talal Sulaiman Habib Alrahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States of America, accompanied by a number of officials.
The meeting focused on developments in the Middle East, challenges facing the region and efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional security and stability.
Participants also discussed ways to support diplomatic efforts and advance peaceful solutions to regional crises.
During the meeting, Oman reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy, while calling for intensified regional and international efforts to contain tensions and create conditions conducive to peaceful and sustainable solutions.
Oman said such efforts should help safeguard the region’s security and stability and meet the aspirations of its peoples for peace and development.
The meeting was held during the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
