MUSCAT : One Indian national has died following an attack on the MV Cape Dao while the vessel was transiting towards India, the Indian Embassy in Muscat said on Wednesday.
The embassy said it was closely monitoring the incident and was coordinating with Omani authorities regarding the safety of all crew members on board.
There were 19 Indian nationals among the vessel’s crew, according to the embassy.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one Indian national in this attack,” the embassy said in a statement, extending condolences to the family of the deceased.
The diplomatic mission said it was coordinating with the RPSL and remained in contact with the deceased crew member’s family.
