Over 480 non-compliant consumer products seized in Oman’s Al Dakhiliyah

The Consumer Protection Authority’s (CPA) department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate has seized 486 non-compliant consumer products from markets in the Wilayats of Manah and Nizwa.

MUSCAT : The CPA said the seized goods comprised of expired perfumes and facial cleansers and royal honey products containing prohibited substances. The latter included Epimedium honey packaged in sachets and glass jars, as well as Bio Honey products.

The authority said the products were seized for failing to comply with consumer protection and safety requirements. The seized goods have been placed under custody, while legal measures have been taken against the violators, according to the CPA.
