SALALAH: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Rwandan President Paul Kagame held a meeting at Al Maamoura Palace in Salalah on Tuesday, as the two countries moved to deepen bilateral economic and investment ties.

During the meeting, the two leaders underscored the growing relationship between Oman and Rwanda and expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation across economic and investment sectors, the Oman News Agency reported.

The talks focused on advancing ties in ways that serve the interests of the Omani and Rwandan peoples.

The meeting came on the second day of Kagame’s official visit to Oman, during which the two countries signed two agreements and six memoranda of understanding covering areas including taxation, visa exemptions, agriculture, logistics, investment and strategic cooperation.

Kagame also visited the Royal Razat Farm in Salalah on Tuesday, where he was briefed on agricultural and livestock production and development practices.
