Muscat: The violations were detected over two consecutive days in the Wilayat of Shinas by the fisheries control team of the Control Department at the General Directorate of Agricultural and Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources in North Al Batinah Governorate.
According to the Directorate, the two vehicles were found transporting and trading kanad fish despite restrictions currently in place on its trade during the ban period.
Legal procedures are being completed against the violators in accordance with the regulations governing fishing and the trade and transportation of fishery products.
