MUSCAT: The project is designed to make the public facility more accessible to all, with particular attention to people with visual impairments and wheelchair users. The tactile systems will provide guidance and improve users’ ability to move safely and independently along the walkway.
The initiative includes the supply and installation of warning and tracking surfaces, which are intended to assist users with visual impairments by providing tactile indicators and directional guidance along the pathway.
As part of the project, Muscat Municipality will also provide an electric wheelchair charging station, together with routine maintenance to ensure the facility remains operational and accessible to users.
A Braille map will also be installed at the walkway, providing accessible information to people with visual impairments and supporting safer navigation of the facility.
