MUSCAT: The fifth TAS Oman Business Awards concluded on a high note, celebrating 25 outstanding businesses, entrepreneurs, leaders and achievers in an evening that reflected the growing stature of one of The Arabian Stories’ flagship platforms.
Organised by The Arabian Stories (TAS), the 2026 awards were held at IntercityHotel Muscat under the patronage of HE Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Majlis Al Shura, bringing together senior executives, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and representatives from across Oman’s business community.
A total of 25 winners were recognised for excellence, leadership, innovation, growth and impact across the Sultanate’s diverse economic landscape.

The full-house ceremony marked an important milestone for an awards platform that has grown steadily over five editions, creating a space to recognise not only established organisations but also entrepreneurs, emerging businesses and individuals making an impact in their respective fields.
From banking and financial services to technology, real estate, healthcare, retail, tourism, logistics and entrepreneurship, the awards reflected the breadth and diversity of Oman’s evolving private sector.
Beyond the presentation of awards, the evening was designed as a celebration of Oman’s wider business community, combining recognition with networking, interaction and conversations among leaders from different industries.
The ceremony also showcased Omani talent through a special performance by acclaimed violin maestro Nasser Al Kindi, bringing a distinctive cultural and musical element to the evening.
An interactive live business quiz further brought guests into the programme, adding an element of audience participation to the celebrations.
Speaking during his opening address, Nishad Padiyarath, Founder and CEO of The Arabian Stories, reflected on the parallel journeys of TAS and the Oman Business Awards.
As The Arabian Stories approaches its eighth year, Nishad recalled how the company began as a small startup in 2019 with an ambition to build a strong and credible digital news platform in Oman.
Today, TAS has grown into one of the Sultanate’s widely read digital news media platforms and is proud to be Oman’s first licensed digital news media company.
He said the legacy of the awards was ultimately about the stories behind the winners, from entrepreneurs who took risks and businesses that created opportunities to leaders and organisations investing in Oman’s future.
“What makes us proud is not the number of trophies we have presented. It is the stories behind those trophies,” Nishad said.
For The Arabian Stories, the successful completion of the fifth Oman Business Awards represents more than another event on its annual calendar. It reflects the evolution of a platform that has, over five editions, built its own identity within Oman’s corporate and entrepreneurial landscape.
The evening concluded with a message that captured both journeys.
“Nearly eight years ago, we started with an idea. Five editions ago, we started an awards platform. Tonight, we stand in a full room surrounded by some of the people shaping the future of this country,” Nishad added.
