MUSCAT : The laboratory, part of the Central Public Health Laboratories at Oman’s Ministry of Health, received the full competency rating in the international assessment, reflecting the technical capabilities of its national laboratory teams and the quality of its diagnostic performance.
The achievement supports Oman’s ongoing efforts to strengthen disease surveillance and response systems, particularly in the detection and monitoring of poliovirus, while enhancing the country’s preparedness for public health threats.
The Ministry of Health said the result reflects the efficiency of national cadres and the continued development of laboratory capabilities, contributing to Oman’s broader health-security efforts.
