MUSCAT: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested an Omani citizen suspected of opening fire on three other citizens in the Al Hamidiyah area of Buraimi Wilayat, leaving one person dead and two others seriously injured.
In a statement on Saturday, ROP said the arrest was carried out by the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command.
According to preliminary investigations, the shooting was linked to previous disputes between the suspect and those involved.

One of the three victims died as a result of the shooting, while the other two sustained serious injuries, police said.
ROP said legal procedures against the suspect are being completed.
