Consumers who receive a call or message asking them to make a payment in exchange for filing a complaint or report should treat it as a potential cyber-fraud attempt, the authority warned.
The public has been urged to immediately report such calls or messages to the competent authorities and avoid making any payments or sharing sensitive information with the individuals behind the requests.
